New Princess Night Gown!

Ashlyn is not one to dress up!  However, every since we got her this new gown she wants to wear it every night.  The 1st night she twirled around the living room for an hour!  :-)

105th Day of School~for Ashlyn!

I had lunch with my girl on her 105th day of School!  I offered to go pick up Wendy's for us, however she wanted to have Cube Steak, Rice/Gravy, Fried Okra, and Oranges.  Who can say no to that kind of school lunch?  It was wonderful!  She had a super time with Mommy coming up for lunch.

E - G Honor Roll

Luke made the E-G Honor Roll again this 9 weeks.  He thinks it is better than the All "E" Honor Roll. Ha

Pat and I were both able to make his awards program, and I went back up for lunch with him, his teacher and his class.  I brought Wendy's and little Luke felt pretty important!

RA's and Flash Back to the 80's!

This is Ashlyn during spirit week, flashback to another decade week. We did the 80's, leg warmers, side pony, scrunchy and all!   She had a blast.  The week ended with a pep rally in the GYM!  She said it was like going to a Carolina basketball Game.

Luke is in RA's which he loves. It has taken his vest 3 weeks or so to come in and it has felt like a lifetime to Luke!  Luke is the most attentive, and asks the most questions and when he is called on knows all the answers.  Hummmmm, bet Mrs. Sims would love for him to act that way in her class!!

Growing Up we GO!

The kids are both acting so grown!

We were in the yard playing Saturday and Luke stopped dead in his tracks, and said " Momma, I love Ashlyn I really do!"  "But it is like having a dog follow you around every where you go".

He was so serious and heartbroken.  He said she is right behind me all the time! 

It is sweet and sad!  LOL! :(

2013 is a New Year! Recap 2012!

Jan 2012 we rang in New Year’s at home 12/31/11 and the kids spent the night with Papa Boozer and Dang – 01/01/12 we went to Papa Boozer’s & Dang’s for lunch and that night/next day I FIGURED OUT ORGANIC WINE IS NOT FOR ME! Christmas in January with the Collins Crew!

Feb - Luke was playing basketball and loving it. We miss the grits also! Nicole Skinner had a Baby Shower to get ready for baby Ava, as well as a Birthday Dinner! Walked/Ran 5K in Marion…43 minutes! Goal this year 12/23/13 is 35 minutes! January - February Birthday Fun – JA’s party at the Hunting CLUB!

March – Tball Started and the Oconee Get-a-way!

April – Luke turned 6 Angry Bird Party in Marion, Frankie Fun Park Kindle Fire here we come! We participated in our 1st We Care event! Spring Break @ the BEACH!

May – Summer Concert for Ashlyn – Mother’s Day! New Truck for Daddy, early Father’s Day! Broken Arm # 2 for Luke Duke! New Bike for mommy!

June –Luke and Pat had a trip to the Capital for a private tour. Summer Camp was a HIT! 1st Daddy/Daughter Banquet and some smashing pictures were taken of Luke, Ashlyn,Caleb and Shelby with custom made dresses by Dang.

July – Mississippi to watch our main man Caleb play in the world series. VBS tribe leaders.

August – Family Reunion and Started School. Ashlyn K4 and Luke 1st Grade!

September –Ashlyn turned 5! And so did another special girl in our life Livie! We had a swimming under the sea party in Cola for Ashlyn and headed to Atlanta to go to the American Girl Doll outlet for Livie’s. Feel sure I got the Flu! We went Apple picking for the 1st time. Nicole brought Ava for a trip and brought SLIME for the tube!

October – Extended Stay Chili! I got a year older. Breast Cancer Walk. Hunting with Daddy! Halloween fun. PowerRanger Luke and Cheerleader Ashlyn. Kickin Chicken!

November – 1st Carolina Game. Marion Thanksgiving. Started our Christmas festivities with a trip to see the “Nutcracker”.

December – Celebrated the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Had a ton of fun, lots of gifts!
New Year Resolutions:

Mine: Lose 1 pound a week, and not to YELL so much!
Pat: Lose 1 pound a week and get more active with exercising!
Luke: To be nicer to your sister, and to focus more in class.
Ashlyn: To be nicer to her brother, and to eat more vegetables.

Funny Note: We put a $1.00 outside for each person so we could bring it in, and Luke thought he was going to be bringing in a $20.00 instead of a $1.00 bill. LOL! I was trying to do the Bringing money in on New Year’s so you will be bringing it in all year. However it was not something the kids could understand.
