Happy Easter 2013

What a rainy day today has been!  I stopped by the AHA Heart Walk this morning.

We had games, that got cancelled due to the rain.

Me missed Pastor Charles retirement party, because we decided to go to Pine Island dispite the rain and see the Easter Bunny.  We had face painting, sand art, cotton candy and popcorn then saw the bunny.

Luke and Ashlyn have each had a $20.00 bill and it was burning a hole in their pocket.  Luke saw a Chuck E Cheese commercial, and asked if we would take him, and I said sure however they would be the ones paying!  He was like deal!  So him and Ashlyn split the $20 lunch and got $10 more dollars work of coins, they have $5 left each, and they could not have been happier.  Pat and I thanked them a few times for lunch and they were so super excited, and would just smile and say you are welcome!

#1and#7proudmommy! Baseball 3.14.13

This is a picture of her 1st game ball!  She got it again. Angela said Todd Ashlyn has already gotten the game ball, and he said I don't care!  She had a super play and she is getting a game ball.  That night coach Todd started giving out two game balls!  (She was on the pitchers mound and the ball was hit to her, she threw her glove up and caught it, like it was a piece of cake)Ashlyn was so happy!

#1and#7proudmommy!

I LOVE Baseball season.  Initially we were not going to sign the kids up, 1 because we feel really busy, 2 we did not want school work to suffer, and 3 it is just plain expensive.

It was $150.00 to sign them both up then you have to do a fundraiser and not to mention the gear you have to get as well as candy, snacks..you get the idea!

Mom paid $100.00 for the kids to play, and Luke is actually doing better in school now that he is busy.  So it seems it is all working itself out.

God has a plan!  I have to just be obedient and trust it!

Opening day was Saturday, and we could not have asked for better weather.  Luke and Ashlyn did great in the games.

Ashlyn was on the pitchers mound and got two people out, and did a great job hitting.  It was a slower game, but t-ball is.  The kids were cute as EVER and I got some megga adorable pictures of them all!  I could eat them up at this stage of the game.  Our 1st scrimmage two of the players hit the ball and ran past the pitchers mound to 2nd base.  hahaha, bless them!

Luke played center field and did not see much action, luckily because he was playing in the dirt with his glove.  This year he is going to be an asset if he can bat well.  The team Luke is on have played together for a few years so he is the youngest, new player. The rest of the kids are 7-8, turning 8-9 after May!  Luke struck out twice, his nerves got the best of him.  We talked to him while he was getting up to bat, and told him to think of playing baseball in the back yard and hit it like he does there! HAVE FUN!  Well HE DID!  And made it to 1st.  The 1st baseman missed the ball so he stole to 2nd!  I was screaming and yelling like an insane person.  We were tied 8-8, then the other team bated leaving the score 11-8.  Luke hit the ball, and knocked in a player leaving the score 11-9, then Luke came in and made the score 11-10!  He scored ya'll - SLID and all!!  Luke started a ralley, and the next two batters hit homeruns!  And they stopped the scoreboard at 11-12!  What a game!  Coaches pitch is not like t-Ball.  Luke's team was making triple plays, and knocking homeruns it is easy to see why Luke got rattled.  But he held his head high and got into the game!

So proud of both of our babies!!

Things to remember!

Luke made this for me on Valentine's Day!
"He wanted me to have something to put my shiny rings in that daddy gave me!"

Ashlyn wanted to dress as her daddy on dress like a grown up you admire day!
So cute!!

The Color Run 2013

Nicole talked me into doing the color run this year, and it was pretty fun.
