Back to School Bash!

We got our back packs and have had our back to school bash at Sumo's.  :-)  Complete with a trip to TCBY!

Watermelon!

These kids are so proud.  With the help of their daddy they have grown a watermelon.  They came running in last night and you would have thought they find gold or a $100.00 bill.  They were mighty excited indeed.

Luke takes it pretty serious! Everything was a point.  LOL!  Ashlyn and I were just trying to get a volley.

A day at the Lake!

We went to Pine Island, Mrs. Kessia, Mr. Louie and Dang came.  They have some pretty fun pictures of Pat and Mr. Louie jumping off of the diving board.

We had a few showers but all in all it was pretty good weather.

We made it home in time for a nap.

Family Fun!

I did not even bring out the camera, but we had a blast in Charleston this week-end.  We tried to dodge the weather and ended up smack in a rain storm while on the beach.  Joy and I were trying to get the towels and food to safety and lets just say we should have sat and enjoyed the shower.  However we have lots of hilarious memories of us trying to get to shelter.

She was carrying a cooler that weighed about 100 lbs, and between the stuff in my hands and hanging off my shoulder and the rain, my mascara was in my eyes and I really could not see where I was walking!

I wish we had a picture or video.  We would win some money for sure.  At least we have the memory.  It makes me laugh every time I think about it.

Fun times were had for sure. 

Tennis!

We got some new rackets, and have been enjoying our time at the courts! 

Luke used his own money to buy his, and even paid half on Pat's.  Mine is old from High School and Ashlyn's was a .25 cent find by Luke at a yard sale.

Mine and Ashlyn's are the best, nothing like a broken in racket!!

Cooking & Cleaning Oh my!

Pat and I are trying to teach the kids the value of hard work and of money!

We have Friday Night house cleaning parties, where we fold clothes, dust, mop, clean our rooms, bathroom!

The kids have started helping me do laundry.  They put them in the washing machine with my help and help me fold/put them up.

Here is one night they cooked us supper:

They have also been saving every dime they get.  They both just bought an ipod touch and couldn't be more happy.  They were saving up for a Go Cart, however they decided they wanted an ipod touch more!

Geeking out! 

Funny observation.  Pat and I rode by a restaurant at the beach and instead of talking people were geeking out on phones!

Loose Tooth

We finally have a loose tooth, and the others are already in!!

Luke the Dog Whisperer!

So Luke is not the Dog Whisperer, he got nipped by a dog at the neighbors house the day after 4th of July.

We went to Charleston this week-end and he went with Joy down to Carl's house, and the first thing out of Luke's mouth was...."If you have a big dog I can't be around it."

4th of July at the Beach! Bower BBQ on July 3rd.

Mom and Mr. Will kept the kids from Sunday to Wednesday for us.  It was a little Grammy and Mr. Will Summer Camp.
