I really thought I've got this, it's no BIG deal, I have dropped Ashlyn and Luke off at K-3 and dropping Luke off at Kindergarten was going to be a piece of cake. We were running a little late this morning we woke up to no water (they got it fixed as we were leaving), and it along with a few other things slowed us down. But we made it, dropped off Ashlyn and headed to Luke's new school. We arrived and kids are lost in the hall, and a ton of people are sitting against the wall beside their class. Once they let us go in Luke's class, the teacher was at the door greeting everyone and telling the kids to find there cubbies, etc. She put her hand on my shoulder and said "How are you moms holding up?". I could not speak, because it got me choked up, I just nodded my head yes, and went on with helping Luke and John Henry get unpacked and infront of the TV. I did not actually cry, but came really, really close! I did not want Luke to see me cry, wanted to keep this morning happy! He was happy as a clam when I left. Before I got out the door all the way, he came over and said "Hey Mom, do I have any lickstick on me?". I really thought he was coming over for another hug and kiss! I told him no, but I could use one more big hug. :-) Then he went back to talk to his new school pals.
[Oh yeah the mark on Luke's head, is rug burn and not lickstick (ha) and don't ask me how he got it on his forehead! I remember him falling in the hall on his head and the next day he woke up with the mark. He is fine and it is almost healed]
