Trip to Mississippi

Our trip to Mississippi was fun, and we would not trade one moment we got to spend together and with Caleb.  To see Luke and Ashlyn look at Caleb as if he was a celebrity was just priceless.  Pat and I are so proud of Caleb not just for making it to the World Series, but for the wonderful young man he is.  Our prayers have paid off and have been answered.

He is a strong, smart, handsome, well mannered young man.  He is a spitting image of his father, and thank the good Lord he has so much integrate, it was profound to see.  We knew that he was a wonderful young man, but just seeing it in a large setting really made it hit home.  Some examples, he was not embarrassed about Luke and Ashlyn he welcomed them over with him and his friends. When he got his metal, he was the ONLY ONE that took off his hat yes a couple of boys did not have a hat on, but to watch him towards the end be the only one to take off his hat it just showed us so much wisdom and respect and just the young man he is becoming.  Please keep your hands on him God and help him continue to filter out the negative and rise above it ALL!

Highlights from our trip:

  • Seeing Caleb, play some killer ball!  The boy hit two Grand Slams in the World Series! Not to mention he pitched a ton of great innings, as well as being the catcher.
  • Luke and Ashlyn having bonding time, at one point they were playing pictionary in the back seat together, with NO ELECTRONICS.  Two 10 hour trips where they were the best two kids a parent could ask for.
  • Pat and I actually had about 5 hours to talk with the kids sleeping.  It was extremely nice.

We had a few Low Lights, but nothing earth shattering:

  • It WAS HOT.  You think it is HOT in SC, well HONEY you have not experienced a heat like MS.
  • We were in the MIDDLE of no WHERE.  Nothing really to sight see.  We got lost the one time we went out so we just gave up.
  • We had to get a tire plugged, it took an hour, but honestly the kids had fun they did not want to leave Firestone.  It was funny.  They were like awwwh that was fast can we stay longer.
So you know me and I took LOTS, and LOTS of pictures.  I put some on Facebook, here are my favorites.  It was hard to get the list down.

Ashlyn took this picture of Caleb hitting a GrandSlam over the fence!  2nd one in the World Series!

This is what I am talking about! Admiration for this youngman!

You have to see the LOVE!  TWO BOOZER BOYS I LOVE!

THE BOOZER BOYS I LOVE THE MOST!

Our BABIES!  Pat and I are the luckiest parents alive!
