Our summer flew by, between Grandparent Camps, Overnight Camps, week-end trips/visits and Mrs. Driggers it was a wonderful summer. I really hate to see it end.
I however have had the summer blues all summer. I am guessing because my babies are not babies anymore. Each day has something new. It could also be the kids have been out of town so much, I am in a little "I don't know what to do with myself kind of mood". I really wish I could kick this feeling. I have been thinking a lot lately about when they do go off to collage and what the heck am I going to do with myself then? I need a hobby! Giving this mommy thing my full time attention, that I don't know what to do when they don't need me momming. Pat is all like ima do this and ima do that, and ima not wanting to do any of it.
Ashlyn has been feeling better, she had a double ear infection and I will take her back to see the doctor Monday to make sure her ears are all cleared up. She has been a little......how can I say this nice.....dramatic, emotional and a little klutzy. That's my girl! She really is still sweet as sugar and I just love her and her smile!
Luke seems to have words of wisdom these days for everyone, including dear old mom and dad. He is turning into a little man and it is kind of awkward for us all. He jumped into the middle of one of mine and Pat's arguments the other day (opps the cat is out of the bag....we argue) and said he had to be a man. I had to stop myself from laughing. It was HILARIOUS but NOT REALLY! He is all boy and that twinkle in his eye really makes my heart melt, I love him.
All and all I really do think we got lucky and have the best kids. God has blessed us for sure.
Praying for those who lost their jobs this week.
I did get to help out a little family, today is our 1st care for your neighbor week. A mom, dad and 2 kids were checking out at Wal-mart and I was there getting lunch and a few things we needed at home. The mom kept saying please take that off the total, I think it ended up being like 5 or so items. They paid and left. I had the guy add them to my groceries, and I was able to take them out to them with $20.00 cash. They might have not needed it, but I felt like the Lord was telling me to do it, so I did it.
