I am going to try to type our experience, but know I will fall short. It was so funny and I will never be able to tell it as funny as it was. Luke keeps telling us Thank You so much for taking me rollerskating, it was wonderful! The experience brought back so many memories for me. They still play the same music, the floor looks the same, the skates look the same, the little round seats look the same, the snack bar looks the same. It was just the same! Pat has never really skated, and he kept tell us all to be careful and for me to remember I am no spring chicken anymore. He did not want me to get hurt. I did fall and I had my Ipod in my hand, so I bent it a little awkward when I fell, and it is sore today.
Ok so when we arrive Caleb gets his speed skates, and Pat decided he just was not going to skate. The kids and I get the brown cow skates. I took Ashlyn 1st. Luke fell while we were taking the picture that wasn’t so he was a little afraid, and wanted to take his skates off, I told him to watch me and Ashlyn and I would be back for him. I took Ashlyn on the floor she did so good and when I got back he was ready to go. Then I took Luke he did great as well. We went around a couple of times both kids, and Pat walked Luke around the floor in his shoes. The kids got tired so they wanted to take off the skates, and hit the snack bar. We arrived at 2:00, and this was 3:00 I was thinking we will be leaving soon, and I felt sure Caleb did not want to leave this early. The kids got a snow cone and then we went to play the Indoor Golf. That was fun. Then they had the foot race. Ashlyn won (He gave her a head start and then she went the long way anyway LOL), and Luke ran like the wind, but was up against 8 year olds and well his little legs could not beat them. Then we put the skates back on for a 2nd time. Luke’s were a different pair, him and Pat called them speed skates. Ashlyn and I got our same skates back. Pat walked Luke around and kept mouthing to me that Luke was getting worse. Pat was sweating and kept mouthing that I had to help him, Luke was just getting worse. We made the change, but the kids were not happy and wanted to switch back. Him and Pat make their way back to get a new pair of skates. Pat said Luke’s were too fast! Apparently the wheels needed to be tightened. They get Luke a new pair with tighter wheels, and then we were off again. I took Luke around and our song was playing “Party in the USA” and then Ashlyn again, she let go of my hands and wanted to do it by herself. They did so good, both of them. I am so proud of them.
We will keep this in mind and in our back pocket. You can skate, and play in door golf all day for $6.00 per kid, that is the ticket. The skating rink was packed, and had a line to get in the door.
