This picture cracks me up! Pat is so SILLY!
Pat and I took the kids Sunday to the JFDR Diabetes Walk.
Let me start by saying Pat and I are out of shape, seriously
we were sweating in the parking lot prior to the walk.
We each ate 2 hot dogs, and had a sugar free icee, before
the walk. I thought it was going to be cooler than it was,
so I took off my wool socks, and walking in my tennis shoes.
Then rolled my JEANS up! It was warm, at least I had on a
light weight shirt! Pat wore shorts, and a long sleeve tee
shirt, so he was ok, but he was sweating like me. Luke had on
a muscle shirt under his superman shirt, so he took that off.
Ashlyn had on leggings under her skirt, which she took off. I
rolled up her sleeves, and they both took off their shoes.
Why wear shoes when you are being pushed 3.8 miles
Why wear shoes when you are being pushed 3.8 miles
and over half of it is up HILL!
We are glad we did it. But is was an eye opener that we
need to get out a walk more. I don't know how long it
will last but we took the kids for a walk today before supper.
They walked about 1/2 a mile with us, and ran a little ways.
Hopefully everyone will get back to sleeping like normal
we have been having a little trouble getting to sleep and
staying asleep!
Also I may have mentioned Luke's sugar awareness.
Pat has him so worried about getting to much sugar,
that when he wants something he asks
"Does this have to much sugar for me?"
A little boy at the ball field over heard Luke
say that to me and he ask, why can't
he have sugar?
