I want to Thank our Prayer warriors!
Papa Ryan is doing well, he is trying to outrun his rehab nurses. He has had some confusion at night, being on so many meds and anesthesia has caused him to have some confusion and some mild altercations with the night nurses. Joni stayed with him last night so hopefully it was a better night for them. He should be out of ICU soon and then on to getting the additional rehab he needs. He is still not out of the woods, but on the road to recovery so we Thank you for the prayers.
Mrs. Wilkerson did go home and be with the Lord. She will be missed and now the school and everyone will have to say good bye. I hope everyone mends and finds peace during this trying time.
Will’s mom’s surgery was a success and she is felling pretty good. Has had some pain but hopefully that will subside soon.
Kelly is out of the hospital and 90% better. She is so happy to be home and happy to have her face swelling down! http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/
Luke had a great week-end, and really enjoyed his guy time in Marion. They had fun at the hunting club and enjoyed some cousin bonding. Ashlyn hung out with the girls. Livie is teaching Ashlyn all about individuality. We need to get these girls together more Ashlyn really came out of her shell some more this week-end.
So glad Aunt Cole was able to spend the day with us at the Chili Cook-Off. She stayed up 24 hours. She is one tough chick! I hate that she did not get any sleep but did love hanging out with her.
I walked/ran my 1st 5K Race. You know I knew it was a race, but was still thinking more along the lines of a 5k fundraiser. This was not a fundraiser it was a RACE. I would have quit about 100 times if Sheila had not kept very patiently pushing me. I was negative and kept making excuses….when I could talk! The 3rd place persons time was 39 minutes! We finished the race in 43 minutes! I did feel this great sense of accomplishment. 4 minutes difference! If I would have sucked it up we would have placed! We still got our metals and we were winners for just finishing! I wore my metal all week-end – I EARNED IT! I said I walked/ran my 1st 5K Race, because next year I WILL place! That is my goal! Sheila will not have to drag me next year. After finishing and being so close to placing….my LITTLE competitive side has kicked in. Watch out FOX-TROT here I come in 2013!
